DONNA  LEE  BLOMKER  DAY,  86

Donna Lee Blomker Day was born in Rutland, Iowa on July 17, 1930 to Floyd and Ester Blomker (both deceased). She was raised on a farm east of Rutland with her sister, Myrna K. Blomker Brown (deceased) and graduated from Rutland School. After graduation she attended Iowa State Teacher’s College in Ames, Iowa. On December 4, 1949, she married John Allen Day (deceased) of Gilmore City, Iowa. She and John had three sons, Dennis Allen Day (deceased), Douglas Kent Day and Diane Dunagan (spouse) of Riverview, Florida and Kevin Earl Day and Melody (spouse) of Dewitt, Virginia. Donna and John were blessed with four grandchildren and ten precious great-grandchildren during their 51 years of marriage; Kelly Ann Goss and Benjamin (spouse), Addison and Zachary of Vero Beach, Florida; John Allen Day and Lori (spouse), Dyles, JJ, Chloe, Cali and Carli of Daytona Beach, Florida; Joshua John Day and Amy (spouse), John Walker, Wyatt and Weston of Dinwiddie, Virginia; and Brian Earl Day (deceased-son of Kevin and Melody Day), Dewitt, Virginia. John and Donna added a very special son to their family in 1970 when James E. Alford came to share his life with the Day family. James E. Alford of Oviedo, Florida added three children to the family with Jay Alford and Jeff Alford of Satellite Beach, Florida and Ashley (Alford) Falk and Benjamin (spouse), Madalyn and Kaitlyn of Oviedo, Florida.

Donna attended the First Christian Church of Frostproof, Florida regularly and played the organ for services as much as possible.

A memorial service will be held at the First Christian Church of Frostproof, Florida on October 7, 2016 at 3:00PM. The church is located at 2241 Highway 630 West, Frostproof, Florida 33843.

Donna resided in Frostproof for many years and went to be with the Lord on October 1, 2016.
