Obituary for Franklin C. Brunner
Franklin C. Brunner of Haines City, Florida passed away on Sunday, August 5, 2018. He was 81. He was born on April 28, 1937 in Fayetteville, NC . Franklin “Frank” enjoyed his career as a Chief Petty Officer in the United States Navy. After 20 years of faithful service he retired and moved to Florida. There he purchased a small farm in North Florida and began living the life he had always dreamed of, farming and enjoying time with his family. In later years he started a small business raising greyhounds and racing them in Monticello. In January 1994, Frank and Mary moved to Haines City to begin another adventure … retirement.

God, family and country were close to his heart, and made this the foundation of his life. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening and encouraging others.

Frank was proceeded in death by his parents, Lucille Izzell, and William Conrad Brunner, and his daughter, Roberta McDonald
He is survived by: his wife of 49 years, Mary, his paternal children: Franklin Brunner (Kim), Elizabeth, William “Woody” Brunner, Rebecca “Becky” Brunner, and Lee Brunner (Elizabeth Lee), his children: Cheryl Archambault (Richard), Joseph Buonacorsi, Gail Disbennett (Richard), and Dawn Hiatt (John). One sibling, Patsey Huskey, 15 Grandchildren and five great-grandchildren

A visitation will be on Thursday, August 9, 2018 from 2:00 pm until the funeral at 3:00 pm, all at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City.
