Burton’s Obituary

Burton Hafler, 87 of Winter Haven, Florida passed Sunday, March 8, 2020 at Winter Haven Hospital.

He was born February 21, 1933 in Cortez, Pennsylvania to the late Francis and Isabelle (Seeley) Hafler and he has been a winter resident of this area since 1998 and became a full time resident in 2014 moving here from Pennsylvania. He was a Stationary Engineer for Campbell Soup for over 30 years. He attended St. Mathews Catholic Church and served in the US Army.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Alfred, Edwin and Robert Hafler and his sister, Ida Mae
Survivors include his wife Mary Jane Hafler; niece, Patricia Ann Holleran; nephew, Michael S. Holleran; sister, Ruth Moore of Texas.

Memorial Mass will be held Monday, March 23 at 9:00 A.M. at Saint Matthew’s Catholic Church, 1991 Overlook Drive in Winter Haven.

No Flowers, donations may be made to Santa Fe Catholic High School Scholarship Fund in Lakeland, Florida.
