Iris Newport Pitts, 89, of Tallahassee, formerly of Bartow, Lakeland & Haines City, entered Heaven peacefully on Saturday, May 20, 2017 from Big Bend Hospice House.

Born March 19, 1928 in Mobile, AL, Mrs. Pitts is survived by one sister, Dorothy Riley of Winter Haven, daughter, Jeannie Fielding (Rick) of Tallahassee, son, Rocky Pitts. She also has 4 grandchildren, Michelle Woodrum (John), Sheryl Driggers (Jason), Bobby Pitts, and Missy Hardy (Patrick) as well as 12 great grandchildren.

A private service for the family will be held in Tallahassee. There will be another celebration of her life at graveside, Wildwood Cemetery, Bartow, FL , on Thursday, May 25th at 11:00 AM.
