JAMES’ OBITUARY

James Lee Farewell, born August 7, 1995, passed away in the early morning hours of June 22, 2018, while in surgery following a single vehicle crash. Survived by his son, Asher Diesel Farewell, 4 months; Gabriella Dawson, his beloved and Asher’s mother; his loving parents, Bob and Tina Farewell; six siblings; and a multitude of friends; James lived an intensely fearless life, which was highlighted by the depth of joy in every friendship, his innate talents within all of his passions, and his sincere desire to help every person he met.James was educated at home and in his family’s travels, and was raised with a servant’s heart, beginning with his work as a child in his family’s business, Lifetime Books and Gifts, at his grandparent’s restaurant, the Chalet Suzanne, and continuing into his adult life through his passions of flight, motorcycles, and so much more.In the world of paramotors, James was recognized as one of the best pilots in the United States. He was awarded for accomplishing incredible feats and was offered placement as the only U.S. pilot on an international demonstration team. He also received an invitation to the World Championship Competitions.

As a motorcyclist, James’ raw talent and deep care for his friends found him admired within the sport bike and stunting community of Central Florida. James’ smile and genuine personality was well known; he blessed all whose lives he touched.

James’s interests and accomplishments reached even farther. He spent years of his life immersed in the communities of competitive paintball, ballroom dancing, music festivals, and homeschool life. He will be missed by so many in these circles.

Perhaps his greatest passion was his love for his family. Always known as the “Fun Uncle,” James brought joy and laughter to every occasion. His family and friends always looked to him the moment there was any pressing need, and James was there without question, and indeed, without even a moment of consideration for himself.

All this love and gusto in life culminated when James became a Daddy. He embraced fatherhood with joy and pride that brought focus and purpose to every day. He found deep meaning in the honor of providing for his little family, rising early for his work day as a manager at Chemical Containers, Inc.

James has left us with strong memories full of laughter and a few tears… We see James in his precious son Asher, and realize that we are so much stronger, wiser, and better for having known this remarkable man.

We’re grateful to the Lord Jesus for the exciting years we had with James. He will be remembered 10:00 AM Saturday, June 30, in a Celebration of his life, beginning at High Point Church on Burns Avenue in Lake Wales, and continuing to his final resting place, next to his birthplace at the Chalet Suzanne.
