He was born August 6, 1943, in Ravenna, OH, to the late Daniel Edward and Evelyn (Pooley) Evans.  He retired from General Motors after 36 years,  and he was a member of the Lake Wales Moose Lodge

He is preceded in death by his brother George Evans.

Survivors include his wife Lorraine Evans; children, Tammy Reiter (Steve) of Alliance, OH, Tari Brightman (Marc) of Canton, OH, Tracy Wills (Earl) of Jacksonville, FL, Jamie Liebl of Buford, SC and Marty Evans (Tiffney) of West Palm Beach FL; sister Beverly “Bev” (Bob) Houser of Swanton, OH, Dick “Speedy” Evans (Karen) of Busyrus, OH and Danny “Budge” (Alana) Evans of Barberton, OH; and 9 grandchildren; Cory, Josh, Jordan, Tyler, Madisen, JT, Kyle, Taylor and Karley.

A Celebration of life will be held at a later date at the VFW in Lake Wales.
