Karen’s Obituary
Karen Clossey, age 68, of Haines City, Florida passed away Tuesday March 17, 2020 at Advent Health Heart of Florida surrounded by her loved ones. Karen was a resident of Freehold, New Jersey for 33 years before fulfilling a lifelong dream of retiring and living in Florida. Prior to retiring Karen was an employee of Merck and Co. for 33 years where she was an executive assistant in their Central Engineering Division. Once moving to Florida, she was an employee of Walt Disney World where she worked for 5 years at Cat Cora’s Kouzzina restaurant on the Disney Boardwalk. She was a parishioner of Saint Ann Catholic Church in Haines City, FL. Karen loved the beach, going to the casinos, scratching lottery tickets, and was a huge Elvis Fan. She loved, most of all, her family, especially her husband William J Clossey, Jr. Karen was a loyal, kind, caring, adoring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

She is survived by her beloved husband and true soulmate of 47 years, William Jr. of Florida, her children Brian of North Carolina, William III of Germany, Joseph of New Jersey, and Jamie of Florida. She was such a wonderful grandmother to 5 grandchildren Tyler,Emma,Noah James,Mats and Olivia who were her world. She was also survived by her sister Jonell West of Florida, brother Philip Chiera of New Jersey, and many loving nieces, nephews, and countless friends.

A private memorial service for immediate family members will be held at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Haines City, Florida on Saturday March 21, 2020. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to St. Ann Catholic Church in Haines City in Karen’s memory at https://stannhc.org
