Lawrence W. “Larry” Garvey of Lake Wales passed away Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Lake Wales Medical Center.

He was born February 18, 1939 in Platsmith, Nebraska to the late Lawrence W. and Louise (Parcell) Garvey, Sr.  He has been a resident of the area for 25 years coming from Ft. Wayne, Indiana. He is a retired Quality Control Inspector for Pillsbury. He attended the Family Life Church in Frostproof and served in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed watching Football and Golf, and working at Ron’s Carwash in Winter Haven for 14 years.

He is preceded in death by 3 brothers.

He was survived by his wife of 50 years Patricia “Pat” Garvey, daughters Christine Williams and husband Bobby of Altoona, PA, Angel Garvey of Lake Wales, FL, sons Lawrence W. Larry Garvey III and wife Diane of Altoona, PA, Jeffery Garvey of Altoona, PA, Shane Garvey of Ft. Wayne, IN, Lonnie Garvey and wife Joy of South Bend, IN, sister Charlotte Garvey of Beatrice, NE, 14 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
