Mark R. Hewitt, 68

Mark Hewitt was born December 29, 1951, in Miami Florida to the late Hewell and Vernice Hewitt.
Mark was recruited out of Miami Norland in 1969 to play football for the University of Florida.
After graduation, he began coaching in Houston, TX at MacArthur High School in Aldine Independent School District where he coached football and baseball as well as taught history for 7 years. He moved to Alamo Heights High School in San Antonio, TX in 1983 where he taught and coached for 23 years. He was very proud to be named San Antonio Baseball Coach of the year his last year coaching. He retired to Palacios in 2006 to enjoy life on the Texas coast. He then moved to Babson Park, Florida to be near his family in 2016. He enjoyed Cruising, Fishing and Sports especially Gator Football.

Mark is survived by his wife, Gail Hewitt; sister, Sally Hewitt Frosch and her husband Larry of Babson Park and nephews and nieces: David Frosch, his wife Megan and their children Austin and Anna of Orlando, FL; Travis Frosch, his wife Lauren and their children Emerson and Shelby of Orlando, FL; Traci White, her husband Aaron and their children Mathew and Bailey of Hawthorne, FL.
