Mary Ellen Scott, age 73, of Lake Wales, FL, went to be with Jesus on Friday, February 26, 2021.  She was born May 24, 1947 in Holmes County, FL to Willard A. and Mary (Pennington) Sims.  She was a Personnel Director working for Ben Hill Griffin, Inc. and other citrus agencies.  But, for the last 35 plus years, she has been pursuing her lifelong passion of singing and piano playing gospel music along side her husband as members of “Simple Faith Music Ministries.”  She is also a past member of D.A.R.  Mary is survived by her Husband – Ronald L. Scott of Lake Wales, FL; Daughter – Melodie Kincaid of Bartow, FL; Sons – Robbie Kincaid (Sandy) of Lake Wales, FL; Brent Kytle of Frostproof, FL; Sister – Barbara Henderson (Charles) of Winter Haven, FL; 11 Grandchildren – Chasity; Catie; Dustin; Corbin; David; Niki; Kaitlyn; Karleigh; Cole; Kourtney; Faith Mikal; and 8 Great Grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her Parents; and Sister – Christine Moore.  Funeral services will be held Friday, March 5, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Avon Park Lakes Baptist Church with family receiving friends beginning at 10:00 AM.  She will be laid to rest in Nichols Cemetery, Oxford, FL.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Avon Park Lakes Baptist Church, Simple Faith Music Ministries, or Nichols Cemetery.
