LEE BYKOWSKI, 91

Lee Bykowski of Frostproof passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at her home.

She was born October 18, 1928 in Frostproof to the late Rufus and Georgia Jones; she was raised in Frostproof, married Florian Bykowski and moved throughout his career before returning to Frostproof 30 years ago. She was a homemaker and of the Catholic faith. She enjoyed bowling, flower and vegetable gardening, and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was active in her children’s school activities and was a former Girl Scout and Brownie leader. After her children graduated, she went back to school and earned her nursing degree.

Lee was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Sue Bykowski and three sisters, Christine Fulgham, Martha Crawford and Edna Blankenship. Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Florian “Ski” Bykowski; daughters, Tina Scarborough and husband, Ben of Frostproof and Tracy Smith and husband, Kruger of Chattanooga, TN; six grandchildren, Ryan Scarborough and wife, Christine, Kirsten Scarborough, Cade Scarborough, Madison Smith, Jace Smith and August Smith; and two great-grandchildren, Perry and Riley Scarborough.

Private graveside service will be held at Silver Hill Cemetery with Chaplain Tom Johnson officiating.
