Barbara Virginia Bryant 70 passed away on Monday, May 11, 2020 at the Winter Haven Hospital. A lifelong resident of Winter Haven, she retired in 2011 as a Secretary for the Public Defender’s Office in Bartow after 30 years of service. Barbara enjoyed reading, traveling and especially loved spending time with her grand and great-grandchildren. A loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother she will be dearly missed. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents James H. and Margaret E. Shaffer and was of the Lutheran Faith. She is survived by her husband of 35 years Carl Bryant of Winter Haven. Son Scott Bryant and wife Felicia of Auburndale. Daughter April Diaz and husband David of Auburndale. Son David Bryant of Winter Haven. Brother Terry Shaffer and wife Rhonda of Cherry Tree, PA. Ten grandchildren Ben, Logan, Halie, Jared, Ethan, Ashley, Amy, Monica, Robert, Alyssa and twelve great-grand children. Her visitation will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2020 from 1-2pm at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Winter Haven with Chapel Funeral Services starting at 2pm. Burial will follow immediately afterwards at Glen Abbey Memorial Gardens.
