Born August 2, 1941 in Murphy, NC he moved to the area in 1980.  He was a retired truck driver, of the Methodist faith,  went to the Auburndale Speedway for every race, and loved to travel.

Carl was preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Barbara this past May; and a daughter Janet Gaylord in 2017.

He is survived by a daughter, April Diaz and her husband, David of Winter Haven; two sons, Scott Bryant and his wife, Felicia of Auburndale and David Bryant of Winter Haven; eight grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 9:00am till 10:00am, Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Winter Haven.  Interment will follow at Glen Abbey Memorial Gardens in Auburndale.
