Charlie “Punky” Keene passed away Saturday, September 8, 2018 at his residence.
He was born September 16, 1933 in Arcadia, Florida to the late Fred S. and Catherine (Jones) Keene. He has been a resident of the area since 1990 coming from Immokalee, Florida. He was a Broker of Agricultural Products. Charlie was a member of the Jaycee’s in Plant City, the Elk’s Lodge of Plant City, he was an avid Gators fan and an outdoorsman. 
He is preceded in death by his daughter Lori Keene and son Steve Keene.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years Darylena “Slim” Keene, daughter Kathryn Leacock and husband Tom of Alva, FL, son Britt Keene and wife Sandy of Alva, FL, step daughter Dionne Spooner of Ft. Myers, FL, sisters Freddie Conner of N. Ft. Myers, FL, Carole Livingston of Ft. Ogden, FL, brother Jimmy Keene of St. Augustine, FL, 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, special friends Bud & Sally Thrift and numerous other family and friends.
Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00PM Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home with Funeral Mass 12:00PM Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with interment 3:00PM at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Arcadia.
