CHRISTIAN’S OBITUARYU.S. Veteran

Christian A. Collazo, 28, of Davenport, FL, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 23, 2020. He was born on December 18, 1991 in San Juan, Puerto Rico to Alberto and Lourdes Laguna-Collazo. He was a proud veteran, having served in the United States Army from 2012 to 2018 as a Drone Pilot. Christian moved to Florida in 2014 from Euless, Texas, and when he returned home, he enrolled at Valencia College to become a History Teacher. He was of the Christian faith.Christian received several awards during his career including the Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, and Basic Aviation Badge.

Christian loved the Lord, his country, and his family. He became a Christian and enjoyed listening to Christian music. He also enjoyed playing with his cat “Oswald” and spending time with his family. In his spare time, you would find him playing video games on his PC, especially Fortnite. His favorite dessert was “flan de queso” and his favorite color was red. Christian was a very happy, funny man, and he will be missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Moises Laguna. Christian leaves behind to cherish his memory; his parents, Alberto  and Lourdes Collazo; sisters, Irmarie Collazo and Ashley Collazo; paternal grandparents, Maria Garcia and Cesar Collazo; maternal grandmother, Irma Garcia; uncles, Eric, Moises, Omar, and Anibal; aunts, Irma and Kathy; several cousins; and many devoted friends.

A visitation will be held Friday, September 25, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. all at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Haines City, FL. Interment will be Monday, September 28, 2020 at 11:30 a.m. at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
