Dorothy’s Obituary
Dorothy P. Davis, 83, entered into rest on Sunday, February 16, 2020 at the Good Samaritan Society in Kissimmee, FL. She was born to Clarence Jackson and Pauline Eison-Martin on March 31, 1936 in Normangee, TX, moving to Intercession City, FL in 1958 from New Braunfels, TX. She was a homemaker who took pride in taking care of her family, and was a member of the First Baptist Church in New Braunfels, TX, when she moved to Florida, and for a short time she attended Oak Hill Baptist Church in Loughman, FL. Dorothy was a club member of the Florida Flywheelers Antique Engine Club for 35 years, never missing their events.

Dorothy loved her family dearly and always made it her priority to spend quality time with her husband and children. She was a proud military wife and she loved traveling with her loving husband. Dorothy loved cooking, sewing, word search puzzles, and socializing with friends. She was loving, fun, humorous, and always enjoyed life, never complaining about anything.

She is preceded in death by her parents. Dorothy is survived by her loving husband, of 64 years, Heller D.; sons, Benton Davis of Kissimmee, FL, Larry D. Davis and husband, Sam Clark of Orlando, FL and John Davis of St. Cloud, FL; brothers, Ralph Martin and wife, Carol of Palouse, WA, Glen Martin and wife, Jo of Austin, TX, and Jimmy Martin and wife, Joyce of Tucson, AZ; sisters, Linda and husband, Kelly Dowduy and Willie Olfers both from Blanco, TX; and best friends, Ron Weagraff and wife, Cindy of Kissimmee, FL. She will be greatly missed by all.
A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at 10:00 am at Evergreen Cemetery in Davenport, FL.
