She was born June 2, 1930 in Geneva, Alabama to the late William F. and Annie Flora

(Trant) Wise. She was a homemaker and attended the First United Methodist Church of Auburndale and was Past President of Frostproof Women’s Club, she also worked for the Census Bureau and Walker Memorial Hospital for a few years. Elizabeth graduated from Frostproof High School in 1948 as the Valedictorian. She loved gardening, working in the yard, and a good yard sale.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Doug, her daughter Beth Anne along with her parents and sisters, Louise, Irene, and Frances.

Survivors include her daughter, Gaye Howell ( Sean) of Winter Haven, sons, Paul Douglas Swenson ( Judy) of Bartow, William Edward “Bill” Swenson of Winter Haven; 6 grandchildren, Adam, Carissa, Jennifer, Doug, Amanda and Meagan and 9 Great grandchildren; brothers, W.F.Wise, Jr.(Buddy) and Bill Wise.

Due to CDC regulations, private graveside service will be held, Wednesday, April 29, 2020. The webcast of the service will be viewable by 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cornerstone Hospice (2140 E County Road 540A, Lakeland, Florida 33813) or First United Methodist Church of Auburndale (316 Lake Ariana Boulevard, Auburndale, Florida 33823).
