Evelyn C. Byrd of Lake Wales, Florida passed away Sunday, May 13, 2018 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.

She was born December 2, 1953 in Lake Wales, Florida. She was a lifelong resident of the area and was the retired Seafood Manager for 2o years at Winn Dixie. She loved taking care of her cats Meenie, Grayby, and Dirty. She enjoyed reading and watching old Classic movies and has a large collection of Whatnots.

She is preceded in death by her son Stump Lee Jones and brother Jimmy Durden.

She is survived by her husband Arthur “Buddy” Byrd, son Clifford Jones and wife Courtney of Lake Wales, FL, mother Clara Durden of Lake Wales, FL, brother James “Stump” Durden of New Mexico.

A private service will be held at a later date.
