Gene Tucker of Lake Wales passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at his residence.

He was born February 11, 1940 in Lake Wales to the late Richard and Gladys Tucker. Gene was a retired machine operator for McDonald’s Construction and lifelong resident of Lake Wales. He spent his time hunting, fishing, camping, gardening, and cast netting at the Sebastian Inlet; he was an avid Bucs fan.

Gene was preceded in death by his wife, Martha “Maggie” Tucker in 2013; brothers, Johnny and Billy; sister, Pauline; and best friend, Freddie Harper. He is survived by his daughter, Donna Jean Hardee of Lake Wales; granddaughter, Karen Hardee; and brother, James Tucker of Lake Wales.
