HENRY “HANK”‘S OBITUARY

HENRY JOSEPH DRAINVILLE, 86

Henry J. Drainville of Lake Wales, Florida passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at Advent Health in Sebring, Florida.

He was born April 4, 1932 in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. He has been a resident since 2001 coming from Homestead, Florida. He was an Insurance Sales Representative.

Henry was a veteran in the United States Army serving in the Korean Conflict. He loved boating, fishing, golfing, hunting, the outdoors in any way, bowling, coaching sports, playing board games and playing with his grandchildren. He volunteered for Little League. He served as an Alter boy in his youth and was in the Brotherhood of Catholic Ministry for 11 years. He spoke 5 different languages fluently and was an interpreter for the United States Army. He boxed for the United States Army and played hockey at St. Michaels College in Vermont. He was a school teacher in Beniford, Maine, a Bank Teller in Long Island,

New York and worked as a Manager for Wool Worth/Woolco in Miami where he met the love of his life Mary, a member of the Moose Lodge, VFW, Lions Club, and Kentucky Colonel.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years Mary M. Drainville, daughter Anita Drainville Prezzemolo and husband Paul of Palm City, FL, son David Drainville of Lake Wales, FL, brother Jaques Drainville of Rhode Island, and 4 grandchildren Ariana, Jonathon, Pauly and Angelina.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Research Hospital at stjude.org memorial giving.
Memorial mass will be held 1:30PM Friday, January 11, 2019 at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church with Father David Vargas officiating.

A celebration of Life reception will be held following the service from 3:00-5:00PM at the South Lake Wales Church of God (210 Presidents Drive Lake Wales, FL).
