He was born February 3, 1927 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. He was of the Catholic faith, and loved playing dominoes, going fishing, and wrestling.

Herminio was proceeded in death by his wife, Luz Maria Martinez; and daughter Flora. He is survived by his daughter, Herminia Villanuera; and sons, Juan Villanuera, and Benito Villanuera.

No local services are scheduled. Interment will take place in Puerto Rico.
