JEAN’S OBITUARY
Jean H. “Granny” Peacock of Davenport, Florida passed away, with her loving family at her side, on November 26, 2020. She was 90.Jean was born on July 15, 1930 in Long Island, New York to William and Lillian Sedore Service and moved to Davenport in 1983 from Winter Park, Florida. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed time with her family, which included time camping. She truly loved spending time with her grandchildren and Granny is, and will always be, remembered as “the Rock” of the family.

Jean is predeceased by her husband, John H. Peacock; her parents, William and Lillian; daughter, Gail Lucas; brother, Robert “Bob” Service and his wife, Carole and great grandchildren, Samuel Best and Andrew Peacock. She is survived by her children, Linda Waldow and her husband, Lance of Missouri, John “Skip” Peacock and his wife, Sue of Davenport, Donna Peacock of Davenport; nephews, Bob Service of Puerto Rico, Jim Service of Colorado; grandchildren, Jennifer Best and her husband, Robert of Missouri, Heather Marty and her husband, Gordon of Missouri, Jason Waldow and his wife, Jaclyn of Nebraska, David Peacock and his wife, Danielle of Ohio, Wesley Darst and his wife, Christina of Wheeler A.F.B., Hawaii, Sarah Peacock and her fiancée, Sumith Thomas of Ohio, Shaunna Peacock of Davenport; great grandchildren, Maggie Best of Nebraska, John Robert Best of Missouri, Ethan Best of Missouri, Cole Best of Missouri, Jacob Best of Missouri, Thomas Best of Missouri, Jaelyn Marty of Missouri, Natlie Marty of Missouri, Kierstin Waldow of Nebraska, Charles Waldow of Nebraska, Audrey Peacock of Ohio and Luke Peacock of Ohio.

A celebration of Life Service will be conducted at later date. Jean will join her husband, John, at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
