Joan L. Hutto, 81

Joan L. Hutto of Frostproof passed away Saturday, November 7, 2020 at her residence.

She was born June 13, 1939 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late Glenn and Edith Bretch; she came here from Pittsburgh in 1958. Joan was retired from Frostproof High School, serving in the cafeteria. She was of the Catholic faith, loved her family, fishing, yard sales, playing cards, talking on the phone, cooking, and trying new recipes.

Joan was preceded in death by her sisters, Barb, and Janet; brothers, Dave, Bud, Jackie, and Bill; and grandson, Clay Hutto. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Billy Charles Hutto; sons, Fuzz Hutto and wife Linda of Frostproof, and Jimbo Hutto and wife Michelle of Frostproof. She also served as a mother figure to Jarrod Hobbs and wife Emily, and Cody Hutto and wife Jennifer. She is also survived by her sister, Pat Hutto-Sears and husband Irv of Lake Wales; brother, Wayne Bretch and wife Shirley of Frostproof; grandchildren, Mary, Fuzzy, Jimmy Lee, Kalani, Shelby, Mikala, Levi, Zoey, Eli, and Wyatt; great-grandchildren, Chloe, Kohlbie, Malayah, Zachary, and Colt; and numerous, nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 14, 2020 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Frostproof.
