Laikhram Mangru, 77
Laikhram Mangru of Dundee passed away Thursday, March 26, 2020 at his residence.
He was born May 14, 1942 in Guyana, to the late Manoo and Sadhaya Mangru; he moved to Dundee in 2004. During his working years, he was a cane cutter, farmer, gardener, kitchen worker, and worked in retail. Laikhram enjoyed gardening, watching wrestling, and listening to old music.
Laikhram is survived by his wife of 59 years, Lilawatee Mangru Uzagir; daughters, Ranu Tilak and husband Kumar of Lake Hamilton, Hema Singh and husband Kumar of Dundee, Serene Pollard and husband Steve of Dundee, and Kavita Mangal and husband Rajin of Queens, New York; sons, Anil Mangru and wife Debra of Yonkers, New York, and Sunil Mangru and wife Sandy; brother, Ramdeo Mangru of New York; 15 grandchildren, Anthony, Steve, Dhanny, Gavin, Kamini, Bhartie, Navin, Raj, Devi, Malena, Guytri, Kishan, Kareena, Ryan, and Romila; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Due to CDC recommendations, the family will be having a private service, with a live webcast for those who wish to watch on Monday, March 30, 2020 at 9:30 a.m.
