Obituary for Lawrence Conner
Lawrence Edward Conner (Larry) went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, early Thursday morning, July 1, 2021. Larry was born November 9, 1947 in Hollywood, Florida. He came to Lake Wales in 1960. He graduated from Lake Wales High School in 1965. He met his future wife of 53 years (Janice McGill) at a football game. They were High School sweethearts and married on October 6, 1967.
Larry was a real estate broker for 50 years in the Polk County area. He was known to go the “extra mile” to please his customers. Larry loved boating and camping with beloved family and friends. He had a great love for classic cars. He and Jan found a 1963 black Plymouth in 2011 just like the one he had after High School. Larry and Jan went to many car shows and made many friends over the years.
Larry is survived by his beloved wife, Janice (Jan) and their four children, Christine Fletcher (Michael Fletcher), Larry Conner, Jr, Tiffany Conner, and Nathan Conner (Mary). He had 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Celebration of Larry’s life will be held on Sunday, July 11th, 2021 at 4:00 pm at the Associated Reformed Presbyterian Church, located at 205 East Stanford Street, Bartow, FL 33830
