Leonard A. Drolshagen, of Haines City, FL passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was 88. Leonard was born on November 6, 1932 in Columbus, WI to August and Elsie Kramer Drolshagen. He proudly served his country in the United States Airforce with the rank of TSGT. He spent 24 years working as a civil engineer for the US Airforce and after his retirement he continued working in the Orlando area and in Saudi Arabia until his retirement. Leonard was a member of the VFW 8152 in Pine Hills, FL for 46 years, resided in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin and Orlando, FL. He lived in Winter Haven and Haines City FL during the last 12 years. He was of the Baptist faith.Leonard loved nature and was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He enjoyed gardening, doing yard work and simple tinkering around the house. He was a man  who loved his wife, children, and graciously spoiled his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also loved grilling out, and it was said that he cooked steak like no other.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sons, August and Donald Drolshagen; brother, David Drolshagen; sisters, Ann Hess and Ethel Lohse. Leonard leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife, of 67 years, Donna; sons, Jerome Drolshagen and wife, Gwen and Steven Drolshagen and wife, Rose; daughters, Sheri Jo Jessup and husband, Tim and Nancy Green and husband, Kevin; grandchildren, David, Jordan, Daniel, Aaron, Sydney, Mykel, Sara, Joshua and Michael; and five great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 5:00 p.m. all at Oak Ridge Funeral Care with Pastor Eric Holm officiating. Final resting Place will be at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
