Lowell Eldridge Trueman, 83, of Haines City, passed away, Tuesday April 28, 2020 in Kissimmee, FL due to complications of a blood clot.
Lowell was born October 1, 1936 in Winter Haven, FL to parents Lillian (nee Criswell) and Lowell Eldridge Trueman. Lowell attended Haines City High School, Riverside Military Academy and Valdosta State College. He served in the United States Marine Corps. Lowell spent most of his life living in Polk County working in the citrus industry.He was preceded in death by his parents, Lillian and Eldridge Trueman, his wife Paula Trueman, and son, Donald Trueman.He is survived by his daughters, Lynn Thompson (Steve) of Winter Haven and Trisha Weaver of St Louis, MO.

He is survived by his loving companion of 20 years, Lore Galanida. Lore’s children Nadeen Speets (Adam) of Napa, California; Richard Fachtmann (Jackie) of Lake Nona, FL and James Fachtmann (Katy) of Ft Lauderdale, FL.

He was the proud grandfather to 16 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

He is survived by cousins; Patrick Bentley, Robert Bentley and Raymond Bentley, all of Winter Haven and David Crutchfield of Waterloo, Illinois.

Lowell loved Polk County and took great pride in his family’s historical contributions (Snell, Kent and Trueman families) in the area. He never met a stranger and was always willing to strike up a lighthearted conversation with all he met.

Because of Covid-19 restrictions, services will be postponed until a later date.
