Margaret Ann Cotton
July 10, 1939 – March 13, 2020

 

Margaret Ann Cotton, 80, of Frostproof, Florida passed away Friday, March 13, 2020 at her residence.

She was born July 10, 1939 in Honomu, Hawaii to the late Augustine and Ramona (Carvalho) Borelis and she has been a resident of this area since 1975 moving here from San Diego, California. She was a Homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Frostproof. She was extremely intelligent and could learn to do anything. Margaret taught herself how to paint and play piano.

She was very musically inclined, was an advanced cake decorator, a dedicated Christian lady that spent 17 years working in the church nursery. She loved to travel, sewing and reading. She loved her church, church family and her family dearly.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Louis Borelis, Fano “Steve” Borelis, Lino Borelis, Johnnie Borelis and sisters, Frances Tooley and Dora Sedeno.

Survivors include her husband Doyce R. Cotton, daughter, Julie Granger

(Mark) of Frostproof; sons, Randall Cotton (Kimberly) of Frostproof, Russell Cotton ( Michelle) of Babson Park; sister, Lillian Rodrigues of Pahoa, Hawaii ; 4 grandchildren, D. Paul Gavin, Shelby Beckman, Nikki Townsell and Brandon Cotton; 2 great grandchildren, A. Ryann Gavin and Brycen Hernandez; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will be receiving friends from 10:00 AM until the service time of 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at First Baptist Church of Frostproof with Rev. Darrol Hood, Rev. Rick Giles and Rev. Tim Hood officiating. Interment will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, March 19, 2020 at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
