MARIETTE’S OBITUARY

Eleanor “Mariette” Lund, age 80, of Kissimmee, FL passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2020 at her home at Good Samaritan Nursing Home. She was born to the late Paul and Mildred Lund on November 13, 1940 in Mansfield, Missouri.She has spent the last 40+ years within Polk County before finally settling in Kissimmee, FL. Mariette always had a smile on her face, love in her heart, and praises for Jesus each and every moment of her life. Rarely a day went by where you did not hear her laughter. She loved to sing hymns and do word search puzzles. She was also Mickey and Minnie Mouse’s greatest fan!

She is survived by her 4 nieces and nephews – Angelo Salalila along with his wife, Elaine; Jocie (Cricket) Valadez along with her husband, Michael; Mark Salalila along with his partner, Trevor England; and Meliesa Marshall along with her husband, Shawn. Mariette also has 10 great nieces and nephews including Anthony, Justene, Rachel, Austyn, Addyson, Kelsey, Alyssa, Shawn, Isaiah, and Malachi. Lastly, she has 15 great-great nieces and nephews including Mia, AJ, Alex, Cole, Arabella, Novaleigh, Luna Mae, Chessa, Jaycee, Waylon, Romero, Julian, Maxine, Khamayah, Adilynn, and one more boy on the way.

A Visitation will be held Friday, November 20, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. until the service at 12:00 p.m. all at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Haines City, FL. Final resting place will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Haines City, FL.
