She was born May 20, 1924 in Savannah, Ohio to the late Howard A. and Mary H. (Frizzell) McClain and she has been a resident of this area since 1976 moving here from Stow, Ohio. She was a retired Bank Teller. Mary was a member of the Moose Lodge of Lake Wales, VFW and American Legion Post 69 in Avon Park, Fl.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Frostproof.

She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Fred Perry in 1949, 2^nd husband, Dean Hagenmaier in 1972 and current husband, B. Charles Smith in 2003.

Survivors include her sons, Fred V. Perry (Zohra) of Miami Lakes, FL; Ric A. Perry (Gail) of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, Dean F. Hagenmaier of Frostproof, Fl; step son, Bruce Smith of Sebring, Fl; 18 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, June 15, 2018 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home of Frostproof with Pastor Ashley Tippens officiating.  A reception will be held following the service at the Whiddens Mobile Home Park Clubhouse.
