NANCY’S OBITUARY
Nancy Jean Walker, 76

Nancy Jean Walker of Lake Wales passed away Monday, August 17, 2020 at her residence.

She was born June 9, 1944 in Green Bay, Wisconsin to the late Walter and Evelyn Fraser. She moved to Lake Wales from Key Largo in 2004. Nancy was a retired writer for The Reporter.  She belonged to the Mahjong club, was a member of the hospitality committee, was on the board of the H.O.A., and was a past member and past president of “The Doe’s” (the women’s group of The Elk Club). Nancy took care of the community of Carlsberg newsletter, and had a column in the newspaper in Tavernier called the Upper Keys Weekly Newspaper. Nancy enjoyed playing cards in her free time and visiting the cottage in Wisconsin during the summer. Everyone always loved her Bloody Mary’s. She loved her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews dearly.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Walker in 1998. Survivors include her sister, Diane Berndt of Lake Wales; brother, Stewart Fraser of Wisconsin; nieces; nephews; great-nieces; and great-nephews.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 31, 2020 at Resurrection Lutheran Church in Winter Haven with Pastor Charles Keeler officiating.
