Obituary for Pauline Workman

Pauline Workman, of Davenport, passed away on January 14, 2018 at the age of 79. Pauline was born on April 19, 1938 in Braeholm, West Virginia to Herman and Virdie Hunt Blackburn. She moved to Davenport in 1984 from Eaton Township, Ohio and was a homemaker.

Pauline was a fantastic, awesome and smart lady. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Her family was her life. Pauline dedicated her life to taking care of her loving husband and youngest son. She loved everyone’s children, Christmas, gardening, decorating and southern cooking. She was an avid collector of porcelain dolls and Christmas Santas . She also loved world history and learning about her own family ancestry. Pauline was famous for her potato salad and homemade cornbread. She was very active on Facebook. It was a way she could keep up with all her family.

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents Herman and Virdie Blackburn; her husband of 62 years of marriage, William A. Workman Sr, who passed in 2015; sons, Wilburn Lee Workman (passed on 2002) and William Workman Jr. (passed on 2008); brothers, Brad Blackburn and Darwin Blackburn.

She is survived by her son, Billy Ray Workman and wife, Bonnie of Howard, Ohio; daughters, Debra Skeens and husband, Tim of Grafton Ohio and Paula Green and Mike of Davenport, Florida; brothers, Glen Blackburn of New Cumberstown, Ohio, Emerson Blackburn of Utica, Ohio, Bobby Blackburn of Greenwich, Ohio, Roy Joe Blackburn of Grafton, Ohio and William Blackburn of Medina, Ohio; sister, Donna Pratt of Elyra, Ohio; 9 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.

Services will be held in Ohio at a later day. Interment will be at Butternut Ridge Cemetery in Grafton, Ohio.
