Patricia Ann Rutledge
January 10, 1938 – July 21, 2016

Patricia Ann Rutledge, age 78, of Auburndale, FL passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2016. She was born January 10, 1938 in Opp, Alabama, the daughter of Cebastion Otto Weeks and Jessie Mae Weeks. She is preceded in death by both parents, as well as a son, Ronald Ray Rutledge and a daughter, Susan Kay Rutledge.

Patricia is survived by her son Larry (Miki) Rutledge, daughter Judy Brokaw (Kenny Johnson), daughter Sandy (Randy) Williams, grandchildren Karen (Tim) Potes, Susan (Chad) Ligman, Faith (Rodney) Arrowood, Jason Williams, Jennifer Williams, Kimberly Williams (and grand-dog Kilo), Michelle Rutledge, Stephanie Rutledge (Julian Gomez) and great grandchildren Andrew Maulding, Ethan Arrowood, Morgan Shepard, Madilynn Potes, Julian Gomez, Jr. and best friend of 20+ years Ms. Phyllis Prince.

Though hard headed and strong spirited, Pat had a huge heart, especially when it came to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved spoiling the little ones.

We all have so many great memories growing up at “Granny’s” house. Fried chicken, cornbread and lima beans; neopolitan ice cream and strawberries and milk; blasting the music and dancing until all hours of the night.

All of us have often talked about wishing we were half as strong as her. She put her mind to something and did it. We should all be so sure of ourselves.
