Richard Alan Wilkinson of Lake Wales passed away Monday, September 28, 2020 at Advent Health Heart of Florida.

He was born December 3, 1952 in Lake Wales to Roy and Marilyn Wilkinson. He was a retired quality control technician and plant operator for Cemex. Richard was a veteran of the United Sates Army, serving during the Vietnam war. He was of the Lutheran faith; and loved the outdoors, especially going hunting and was a lifetime Florida Elk Member.

Richard was preceded in death by his father, Roy Lindbergh Wilkinson, Sr. Survivors include his mother, Marilyn Wilkinson of Lake Wales; daughter, Richelle Wilkinson of Winter Haven; son, Richard Wilkinson of Kansas; significant other of 25 years, Barbara Bonnay and her daughter Lindsay Bonnay; brothers, Roy Wilkinson, Jr. and wife Brenda of Lakeland, and Randy Wilkinson of Lake Wales; seven grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be from 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 3, 2020 until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales with Rev. Steve Livingston officiating. Interment will follow at Lake Wales Cemetery.
