Ronald’s Obituary

Winter Haven FL, -Ronald Harold Jackson 72, completed his earthly journey on March 24, 2020.
Born September 15, 1947 in Rutherford County, NC to Raymond Hubert and Katherine McCrary Jackson.

Ron leaves behind his loving wife Betty Jo Jackson of Winter Haven Fl., and brothers – Larry Jenkins(Patti), Dale Jackson (Kathy), Bryan Jackson (Lisa), David Jackson (Lisa), and sister Kathy Higdon (Ron).

Ron also leaves behind 7 children, Rob Jackson (Rene), Cindy Clampett (Monte), Ashlee Plemmons (Steve), Kristie Hamer (Jason), Gail Plemmons (Terry), Jimmy Lowe (Karen), and Gene Lowe(Kelly), 23 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. He was a Graduate of AC Reynolds High School in Asheville,NC and served in the US Navy.

Ronald loved his family and uncompromisingly shared the Bible. He was a longtime member of
Biltmore Church of God in Asheville, NC before moving to Florida as a member of Bartow Church of God.
As a youth Ron loved animals, was a member of the 4-H club and loved raising chickens. He liked to dolight carpentry and painting. Later in life he loved horticulture and all the aspects of it. Most people will remember Ron for his laughter and love of jokes. If he could make you laugh, he gained a sense of accomplishment. He never ran out of laughter, and where time is not counted never will. He had anunending number of health issues and a lot of pain but never questioned the God he loved. Maybe a few democrats, but not God.

His son Rob recently noted, “Dad slipped from this world into a place he has been telling me
about my entire life.” Quite a goal we should all strive to reach.
