Roy T. “Tommy” Elliott, 80, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 23, 1940 in Bartow, FL and lived his entire life in Haines City, FL.  After graduating from Haines City High School in 1958, Tommy began his working years as a stock boy at Haines City’s original downtown Publix store.  In 1967 Tommy opened his own business, Elliott’s Inventory Service, where he inventoried ‘Lil Champ convenient stores throughout Central Florida.  Tommy spent 30 years as the owner and operator of Elliott’s Inventory Service, working long hard hours to provide for his family, closing the business in 1996 to enjoy a slower pace as he entered his retirement years.Tommy loved Jesus and was a very devoted member of Westside Baptist Church in Haines City.  Over the years, Tommy served on countless committees at the church, was a dedicated Deacon, drove the church van, taught Sunday School classes, and did anything else asked of him.  Tommy also volunteered at Haines City High School as a “Band Booster” parent as each one of his children passed though the HCHS band program, 19 years in total; spending Friday nights cooking hamburgers in the concession stand at football games and Saturdays at band competitions helping band members prepare for the day.Tommy adored his family and enjoyed every moment he was able to spend them.  He was very generous with his time and talents and would do anything he could to help others.  He treasured his church and his country and was an avid coin collector.  Tommy enjoyed gardening, watching wildlife in his backyard, going to church, and his daily trips to Wal-Mart.

Tommy is preceded in death by his parents, William Taft and Beady Ann (Connor) Elliott and only sibling, Larry Newton Elliott.
