Sara’s Obituary
Sara Judith (Brackin) Hoyet, 78, (formerly Kokomo, IN) passed away surrounded by family from existing health conditions on 4/15/2020 in Winter Haven, FL. Sara was born 11/13/1941, in Hartford City, IN to the late Jessie Benjamin and Sarah Martha (Lloyd) Brackin. She was a
1959 graduate from Kokomo High School. She worked 34 yrs at Delco Electronics and was a proud member of UAW Local 292. She had a strong work ethic and was always truthful to others even though the truth can hurt. She had an “open door policy” took in all in need (two, three, or four legged). She enjoyed family and friends, dancing and singing to rock-n-roll music, Indy 500, grandchildren’s sporting events, enjoyed being able to babysit with her grandchildren/great grandchildren and vegetable/flower gardening. Her biggest compassion was cooking. She always had enough for a small army and all were welcome at her table. She enjoyed teaching all her children, spouses, grandchildren and great grandchildren how to cook and bake her special yeast rolls, cinnamon rolls, noodles and fudge.Sara is survived by her loving sister, Saundra Jeanne (Brackin) Rydin (Jim Cameron), Flatrock, NC, Her daughter, Theresa (Hoyet) Harmon (Robert Frank), Papillion, NE, Her sons Tony Hoyet (Julie), Kokomo, IN, Tim Hoyet (Linda Rose), Winter Haven, FL, Pat (Pearl) Young, David (Sara) Young, Kokomo, IN, and Tracy Curtis (Sovona), Inverness, FL. Her grandchildren, Ben Harmon (Jeanne), Jackie Washington (Jeffrey Velazquez), Alex Harmon, Chris Harmon, Jon Harmon, Kayla Hoyet, Jeremiah Hoyet (Amanda), Kaylea Lucke (Caleb Miller), James Hoyet, Lindsay Hoyet (Darian Jones), Levi Hoyet (Ashley Cox), Janet Brown (Dominique), Krystal Smith, Ralph Bardsley (Sammi Rose). A very special nephew Curtis Wachter, niece Kristi (Kevin) and 15 great grandchildren. She had some amazing Best Friends, Wanda Miller, Kokomo, IN, Ruth Polumbo, Winter Haven, FL and Darlene Helms, (formerly) Winter Haven, FL.
Sara was preceded in death by her parents, daughter-in-law Debra Braddy
(Hoyet), son Scott “Fuzzy” Stanley and son Jimmy Young.

There is no visitation or service at this time, but a celebration of life will be at a later date.
