She was born November 20, 1970 in Bartow to James Lanier and Claire McLemore; she was a lifelong resident of the area. Shellie was a Hospice Nurse. She loved all things ocean and her family, especially being a honey to her grandchildren.

Shellie was preceded in death by her father Dewey Lanier; and son, Cody Douglas Castle. She is survived by her mother, Ann McLemore (Roy); and daughters, Hollie Hadden (Korey) of Lake Wales, Taylor Rimes (Dustin) of Frostproof, Jessica Castle (Mike) of Babson Park, and McKinley Castle (Ryan) of Winter Haven; brothers, Jason Lanier of Fort Meade and Joshua McLemore (Amy) of Lakeland; and grandchildren, Addison, Dakota, LJ, Annie, Vaden, Harlow, and Kennedy.

A meet and greet will be held from 3:00 p.m. until the memorial service at 4:00 p.m., Monday, February 15, 2021 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales with Rev. Sam Haag officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the ASPCA (PO Box 96929, Washington, DC, 20090- 6929).
