VERN O. HARRELL, 89
Vern O. Harrell of Lake Wales passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at Water’s Edge.
He was born September 7, 1930 of Geneva County, Alabama to the late Herman and Bertie Harrell; he moved to Lake Wales from Winter Haven in 1962. He was the retired owner/operator of Badcock Furniture in Lake Wales, was of the Baptist faith and served in the Army National Guard. Vern was a private and corporate pilot, past exalted ruler of Lake Wales Elk’s Lodge also a member of the Moose Lodge and Lake Wales Masonic Lodge #242.

Vern was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Harrell. Survivors include his daughters, Kathy Caldes and husband Doug of Orlando, Lynda Biggar and husband Dave of Orlando, Pam Beasley and husband Jon of Lake Wales; sister, Betty Burch of Eufala, AL; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 4:00p.m. until 6:00p.m. Sunday, February 23, 2020 and the funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 24, 2020 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home with Rev. Stephen Bolden officiating. Interment will be private at Lake Wales Cemetery.
