Vincent T. Giunta 91 passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at his home in Winter Haven. A native of Lincoln, Nebraska he move to the area in 1992 from Miami after retiring from the Miami Police Department. Vincent started as a Motorcycle Officer and retired a Detective in the South Miami area. He then went on to driving a fuel truck for Phillips 66 locally. Vincent was a member of the American Legion in Winter Haven and The Sea Poachers Submarine Unit at Summerlin Academy in Bartow. He was a WWII and Korean War Veteran serving eight years in the Navy. A loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather he will be dearly missed. Vincent was preceded in death by his parents Salvatore and Benna Giunta along with his two sisters Phyllis and Mae and his granddaughter Jessica and great-grandson Vinnie. He is survived by his wife of 34 years Jeanie Giunta. Two sons Vince Giunta Jr. and Michael Giunta. Two daughters Cindy Mullinax and Kristina Wilson and step-daughter Rebecca Renard. Two sisters Fini and Joan. 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. The family will be receiving friends from 10:30-11am on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care 2425 Havendale Blvd. Winter Haven, FL. with a Celebration of Life Service to start at 11am.
