He was born November 30, 1928, in Amesbury, MA to the late Merrill S. and Minerva M. (Morrill) Rogers, he settled in Lake Wales in 1998 after sailing around the country with his wife Sylvia in their yacht sailor syl. He and Sylvia worked side by side at the company he owned called Micro Data in Dayton, Ohio where he worked as the computer technician. He was a member of the American Legion and served his country in the US Navy.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia Rogers who passed in April 2012 and a sister Marilyn Bishop.

Survivors include his children; Linda Rogers, Wes Rogers and his wife Lynn, and Wayne Rogers all of Georgia; his sister Della Rogers of MA and a sister in law Carolyn; grandchildren; and his close friend Linda Kimbrough.

A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, October 20^th at 2:00 PM at the Johnson-Nelson-Gill Funeral Home in Lake Wales.
