Dennis Marvett Deal of Frostproof passed away Friday, July 24, 2020 at his residence.

He was born January 12, 1951 in Avon Park, Florida. Dennis was a self-employed carpenter and he served in the Army National Guard. Dennis had a love of music and came from a musical family, and his instrument of choice was the bass guitar. He played with several area bands but he loved playing music with his brothers the most. He loved to build stuff and enjoyed woodworking. He also collected knick knacks and toys.

Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Marvett Deal in 1986. He is survived by his wife of 8 years, Nita Deal; daughter, Stephanie Crawford and husband Simon of Macclenny; son, Brad Deal and wife Melissa of Aurora, Colorado; step-son, Jason Walters and wife Amanda of Frostproof; mother, Thelma Deal; brothers, Brian Deal and wife Ginger of Frostproof, Ron Deal of Frostproof, Bruce Deal and wife Sheri of Frostproof, and Robin Deal of Frostproof; nine grandchildren; and multiple nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the family residence in Frostproof with Pastor Sam Haag officiating.
