He was born June 26, 1931 in Arley, Alabama to the late Henry and Monte Tyree. Arnis was a retired equipment operator and was of the Baptist faith. He loved fishing, Bluegrass music, and having a campfire with his forest friends and family. He loved to tease and joke with his grandchildren, was a loving father to his four girls, and loved all of his babies.

Arnis was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Violet Tyree in 2010; daughter, Sheila Tyree; sisters, Louise Peppers and Billie Watson; brothers, Bobby Tyree, and James Tyree; and grandson, Kevin Hensley. He is survived by his daughters, Paula Alderman and husband Tim of Frostproof, Beverly Goode and husband Tom of Lancing, Tennessee, Teresa Westphal of Winter Haven, and Cynthia Brown and husband Barry of Frostproof; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews; and best friends, Martha Sherman, Jim Gorman, and many others.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until the funeral service at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, February 11, 2021 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Frostproof with Pastor Wrynn Collins officiating.
