Jo Burkey / OBITUARY / June 03, 1944 – November 10, 2018

Born June 3, 1944, in Steubenville, Ohio to the late William and Florence (Search) Burkey, she moved to Indian Lake Estates 2 months ago from Titusville, FL where she had lived for 10 years.

She was a volunteer for the Air National Guard Reserves in AL, and she worked as a security guard for Wells Fargo. She enjoyed painting, sculpting and sewing and loved art.

Survivors include her children: Leasa Baba and her husband Mickey of Cleveland, AL; Dan Pitisci and his wife Frances of Indian Lake Estates and Michael Pitisci and his wife Meagan of Jasper, AL; her brother William Burkey of CA; 9 grandchildren; Crystal Mendoza, Jeremy Curtis, Brandy Curtis, Henry Lynn, John Mooneyham, Crystal Center, Scott Mooneyham Haylie and Heather Pitisci; and 15 great grandchildren; Nephews; Steven Ross Burkey and William Jeff Burkey and Niece Kimberly Ann Mattos; and 2 Grands and 4 great-grands.

The family will receive friends at 2:00PM until service time at 3:00PM on Monday, November 19, 2018 at Johnson-Nelson-Gill Funeral Home
