Mary Lela Goodell Ronnenberg, 77, of Sunrise, Florida, passed away on September 24, 2021 in Fort Pierce, Florida.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 16, 2021, at 1:00pm at Jaycee Park in Fort Pierce, Florida.  A water burial will follow.

Mary was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to George Raymond Goodell and Dorothy Mae (Hayes), Goodell on May 21, 1944.  She attended high school at Jefferson Senior High in Cedar Rapids. She graduated from the University of Iowa and worked as a Registered Neurodiagnostic Technologist for Cleveland Clinic for 30 years.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, George Raymond and Dorothy Mae Goodell, brothers William and Gene Goodell, sister Barbara Mease, grandson, Luke Raymond LeClere and great grandchildren, Donovan Richard Ronnenberg and Asher Thomas Rea.

Mary is survived by her children, Timothy Paul Ronnenberg, Donna Jean “DJ” Hauck, Charles “Chuck” Douglas Rudolph Ronnenberg III and wife Crystal, Shawn Patrick Ronnenberg and wife Susie, Douglas Dean “Gus” Ronnenberg and wife Mary, and Sandy Ronnenberg and partner, Michael Pierre.  Mary is further survived by 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Mary was known for her kindness, compassion and accepting nature. She touched many people in her personal and professional life and she will be dearly missed. Her love for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren will carry on in their hearts forever.

An orchid garden will be created in Mary’s memory.  Those who wish to contribute an orchid to the garden may bring it to the memorial or contact Sandy Ronnenberg.
