Kenneth Erwin Questad Obituary

 

Kenneth Erwin Questad, age 92, passed away in Marietta, GA, on Wednesday, September 15, 2021. He was born on April 2, 1929 in Muskegon, Michigan to Thorleif and Evelyn (Cole) Questad. Kenneth attended school in Muskegon, MI with a brief stay in Oakland, CA. On August 6, 1949, he married Noreen Pomeroy. Together, they had four sons and one daughter. Kenneth began his career as an accountant at Continental Motors in Muskegon, MI, then went on to work as a business executive at AMI and Rowe Companies in Michigan and New Jersey, Firecom Co. in New York and Allied Pipe and Supply Co. in Texas, before retiring in 1992 to Frostproof, Florida. Kenneth and Noreen enjoyed traveling together and traveled to Europe and Japan.  They also enjoyed camping and went on an extensive RV excursion which covered most of the continental United States. Kenneth was a youth baseball coach and an adult boy scout leader.  In addition to spending time with his family, he enjoyed playing the trumpet and played in swing bands as well as small ensembles.  He was active in various churches as the family lived in Kentwood, Michigan, Basking Ridge, New Jersey, Humble, Texas, Chester, Connecticut, Frostproof, Florida and Marietta, Georgia. Ken is survived by his beloved wife of 72 years, Noreen; sons, Ken (Fran), Dave (Heeja), daughter Lynn (Mark) and sons Mark (Rebecca) and Scott (Cecilia), 14 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.  A later memorial service is planned.
