He was born November 24, 1952 in Buffalo, New York to the late Edward and Audry Anger; he moved to Winter Haven from New York in October of 2018. Michael was a retired Service Technician for Statewide Machinery in New York. He was a veteran of the Air Force.

Michael is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sharlene Anger; daughter, Amber Rivera and husband Louis of Syracuse, New York; son, Ake Anger of Cazanovia, New York; sister, Marcey Roddie and husband Robert of Akron, New York; brothers, Mark Anger and wife Beth of Cheektowaga, New York, Matthew Anger of Cheektowaga, New York, and Martin Anger of Cheektowaga, New York; and 5 grandchildren.
