Winter Haven, Florida: Arthur “Artie” W. Grossmann, 83, passed away on January 2, 2018 at Winter Haven Hospital. Artie was born in Jamaica, New York on November 24, 1934 to Larry and Florence Grossmann O’Berg. He served in the US Navy for 4 years as a Machinist Mate 3rd Class. Artie was retired from Trans World Airline; afterwards he became a school crossing guard for Polk County Sheriffs. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and son, Michael. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Catherine Grossmann; son, Thomas (Pam); daughter, Veronica Ann; brothers, Thomas (Mary) Mozzillo, Michael (Lydia) Mozzillo, and Larry (Carol) O’Berg; sisters, Patricia (Sal) Puma, Joanne Levy, Maureen (Phil) Carrieri, Florence O’Berg and Diane (Billy) Hynes ; and grandson, Daniel.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church in Haines City, Florida.
