James Edward Murdock Jr, “Eddie”, passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2018 in Tallahassee, FL.

Eddie was born in Quitman, GA on December 28, 1951 to James E. Murdock Sr. and Minnie Lou Murdock. As a child, his family moved to Intercession City, FL where he grew up and spent most of his adult life.

He graduated from Osceola High School. He worked as a heavy equipment operator until his retirement.

Eddie was very artistic and one of his hobbies was creating chainsaw art out of palm trees and building furniture from cedar trees. He was an avid motorcyclist and enjoyed going to bike week and riding with his friends.

He was predeceased by his father, James Edward Murdock, Sr. and his sister, Charlotte Ann Murdock. His is survived by his mother, Minnie Lou Murdock of Davenport, FL, his brother Glen (Rita) Murdock and sister Cathy (Steve) Reynolds of Davenport, FL, sister Cindie Murdock of Dixie, Ga.; nieces and nephews, Keith, James Ory, Hannah, Ethan, Quinton, Channing, Mackenzie, and Dawson.
The viewing will be at 10:00 a.m. with the funeral following at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Haines City. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Davenport, FL.
