RONALD D. “RONNIE” BRANNEN, 72

Ronald D. “Ronnie” Brannen of Lake Wales passed away Sunday, December 17, 2017 at the Heart of Florida Regional Medical Center.

He was born March 8, 1945 in Lake Wales to the late Doston and Viola Mae Brannen; he was a lifelong resident of the area. He was retired from Hunt Brothers, of the Pentecostal faith and served in the U.S. Army National Guard. He loved lighthouses and was an avid gardener, growing roses and orchids. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather; he cared for others more than himself.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Judy Brannen; daughters, Sonia Vigna (Paul) of Lake Wales and Jennifer Zellefrow (Charles) of Lake Wales; son, Michael Brannen of Lake Wales; sisters, Charlotte Barnett of Babson Park and Shirley Coatney (Jimmy) of Avon Park; brother, David Brannen (Geraldine) of Haines City; three grandchildren, Autumn Pagan (Benjamin), Nathaniel Wilson (Katie) and Joshua Wilson (Brandie); and two great-grandchildren, Lucas Wilson and Teagan Pagan.

Memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 23, 2017 at New Beginnings Worship Center in Lake Wales with Rev. Joe Kennedy officiating.
